Refund Policy for AAKIO
This refund policy applies to the use of the AAKIO SaaS platform by artists, galleries, museums, and other users.
1. Free Trial
AAKIO offers a 30-day free trial period.
During the trial, no charges apply. Cancellation during the trial does not require a refund, as no payment has been made.
2. Refunds for Consumers (B2C)
For consumers within the meaning of EU consumer protection law:
• You may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of subscription purchase.
• If you withdraw within this period, all payments made will be refunded in full.
• Refunds are processed via the original payment provider (e.g. Paddle).
After the 14-day period:
• no refunds are granted
• access remains active until the end of the current billing period
3. Refunds for Business Customers (B2B)
For business customers, including galleries, museums, and institutions:
• No right of withdrawal.
• Paid fees are non-refundable.
• Subscriptions remain active until the end of the billing period.
4. Exceptional Refunds
A full or partial refund may be granted in exceptional cases if:
• a serious technical issue occurs,
• which substantially prevents the use of AAKIO,
• and cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe.
Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
5. No Refund Entitlement
Refunds are not granted in cases including, but not limited to:
• non-use of the service
• early termination outside the consumer withdrawal period
• changes to features that do not materially affect the core service
• account termination due to violation of the terms of service
6. Payment Processing
Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment provider (e.g. Paddle, credit card).
Taxes and processing fees are handled in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
